In this regard, data of 98 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange in the period 2006- 2015 (980 View), are studied. To achieve the research objectives, three hypotheses are considered and the linear multiple regression and logit model are used. The first hypothesis test results show that distribution of financial statement items follow Benford's Law. In other words, this law can be used to investigate irregularities. According to the results of the second hypothesis, top financial statements deviation from Benford's Law represents a financial fraud. The results of the third hypothesis indicates that deviation from Benford's Law in fraud detection year is reduced compared to previous years. In fact, managers inability in repeating the manipulation of digits in fraud detection year, reduces the financial statements deviation from Benford's law than what was in previous years.  }, keywords = {Benford's law,Divergence from Benford's law,Financial statement fraud,Financial statement manipulation,Predict detection fraud}, title_fa = {ارزیابی توانایی قانون بنفورد در شناسایی و پیش‎بینی کشف تقلب مالی}, abstract_fa = {هدف اصلی پژوهش حاضر شناسایی و پیش‎بینی کشف تقلب مالی با استفاده از میزان تطابق‎پذیری و انحراف صورتهای مالی از قانون بنفورد است. در این رابطه، دادههای 98 شرکت پذیرفته‎شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران در بازۀ زمانی 1393- 1384 (980 مشاهده) بررسی شد. برای دستیابی به اهداف پژوهش، سه فرضیه تدوین گردید و از مدل رگرسیون چندمتغیرۀ خطی و لاجیت استفاده شد. نتایج آزمون فرضیۀ اول نشان میدهد توزیع ارقام صورتهای مالی از قانون بنفورد تبعیت میکند؛ در واقع میتوان از این قانون برای بررسی سوء جریان در صورتهای مالی استفاده کرد. براساس یافتههای آزمون فرضیۀ دوم، انحراف بالای صورتهای مالی از قانون بنفورد، نشان‎دهندۀ وجود تقلب مالی است.  نتایج فرضیۀ سوم نشان میدهد در سال کشف تقلب، میزان انحراف از قانون بنفورد نسبت به سالهای قبل از کشف تقلب کاهش مییابد؛ در واقع ناتوانی مدیران در دستکاری مجدد ارقام در سال کشف تقلب، موجب کاهش انحراف صورتهای مالی از قانون بنفورد نسبت به سالهای قبل از آن شده است.}, keywords_fa = {Benford's law,Divergence from Benford's law,Financial statement fraud,Financial statement manipulation,Predict detection fraud}, url = {https://acctgrev.ut.ac.ir/article_63199.html}, eprint = {https://acctgrev.ut.ac.ir/article_63199_66cec947001d9d9b8410ede3e81d629f.pdf} }
